Noah ensures that the door is locked behind him before we sit down on the couch.

Neither of us is sure of what to say because of the rage Olivia has caused.

It seems like she's going to win this battle.

“I can't pretend I don't want you to leave him,” Noah's voice is crisp.

“I want to rip you two apart and have you for myself, just like Olivia has managed to wrench us apart,” he adds.

“Oh, Noah, the divorce will happen, I just need to wait for the merger and-” I bite my lip.

But there's so much weight on Noah's words.

“Do you want to end this?” he asks suddenly, out of nowhere.

“Of course not,” I shake my head.

“If all we have together is these moments, can you hang on to me? To what we have? This is enough for me, but is it enough for you?” he asks honestly.

The look in his eyes takes my breath away.

“You’ve always been more than enough, no matter what,” I whisper.

I’m out of breath, and my heart flutters just at the notion that we will wait for each other, no matter how long it takes us to be together, it will happen.

We will grow old together.

He is entirely focused on me, and the world around me merely drops away.

Nothing exists but the way he looks at me.

I should convince myself to leave, but as I stretch my neck, I feel Noah’s soft lips against my skin.

“Oh,” I gasp as I brace myself against him.

His warm lips feel like they leave little marks on my skin.

I inhale the scent of Noah's aftershave, and a content sigh escapes my lips.

“You should stop me,” He whispers.

I can hear the intent in his voice.

“I should,” I say.

Instead, a low moan escapes my lips, and my teeth scrape across the skin of his neck.

Our lips somehow find each other, and the chaos in my mind quiets.

There's no longer the thought to leave.

Just this.

A blissful moment in the fire that my life has become.

We are suddenly engulfed in the fiery passion of two people who can't be together but crave each other incessantly.

His gentle kiss quickly turns into a passionate one, and his frisky tongue plays with mine.

I let him pick me up and wrap my legs around his waist.

All I want is to be carried off by him.

We pause in the hallway and Noah places me down on the front table as I shrug his jacket off his shoulders without breaking the kiss.

The need to feel his skin is too much to handle, and I make quick work of the buttons before I slide the shirt down his broad shoulders.

My hands are on his muscles as they flex under my touch and he grips my waist harder.

All I can do is draw his body closer to mine.

“Make me yours,” I whisper.

“Alright,” he whispers hoarsely.

I find myself in his arms again until we are in his bedroom.

I stand as he releases me from his grasp, and turn around.

With one zip of my dress, it's gone.
